Hello! Welcome to the home
of the Forsyth Piecers and Quilters Guild.
What makes a guild? It is the members and the many ways in which they differ.
Our group, like any other, is comprised of many people from different backgrounds,
personalities, and preferences. No matter how different we are, one thing we have
in common is a love for taking yards of beautiful fabric and slicing it into little bits,
and sewing the bits back together again. This love of fabric and design, whether it is
a traditional or modern patchwork or applique, or in any of the myriad of other ways we
can find to use fabric, is what draws us together once a month for meetings. When you
come, ask about the various bees you can join that will allow you to get to know the
other members in a smaller setting.
If you love fabric, sewing, and anything pieced and/or quilted, the Forsyth
Piecers and Quilters Guild want you to feel free to bring your ideas, your questions,
and especially your enthusiasm. Join us as we celebrate the art that is the quilt.
If you are in the area visiting, or perhaps you reside here, please come to
visit our Guild. We meet every second Monday of the month with a social time at 6:30
pm followed by our meeting at 7:00 pm at the Parkway Presbyterian Church on Silas
Creek Parkway at Yorkshire Road. All that is required of you is an interest in
quilting.
In the meanwhile, please feel free to peruse our website for more information
about the programs, workshops, and charitable projects we participate in. Come join us!
You'll make friends and enjoy the benefits that come with being a member. For your
convenience, a location map to our meeting site is provided and be can be found
here.
